Technology, Law & Security Program Fundraising, Gift, and Grant Acceptance Policy

The Technology, Law & Security Program (TLS) at the Washington College of Law is an academic, research and policy organization committed to the highest standards of organizational, intellectual, and personal ethics and integrity.ÌýÌýAs such, TLS maintains strict intellectual independence and sole editorial direction and control over its intellectual property, ideas, projects, publications, events, and other research activities.ÌýÌýThe content of TLS publications reflects the views of its authors alone.ÌýÌýConsistent with its mission and values, TLS does not engage in lobbying activity and complies fully with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.ÌýÌýTLS will not engage in any representational activities or advocacy on behalf of any entities, individuals, organizations, or other interests.ÌýÌýTo the extent that TLS accepts funding from non-U.S. sources, consistent with its general policy and practices and applicable federal law, its activities supported by said funding will be limited to bona fide scholastic, academic, and research-related activities.

Donations to TLS are subject to the express condition, reflected in a written acceptance letter or other appropriate acknowledgement,Ìýthat TLS accepts the contribution on the condition that TLS retains intellectual independence, property rights, and sole discretion and control over any activities and research products funded in whole or in part by the contribution.

As a general policy, TLS does not accept anonymous contributions.ÌýÌýWhere appropriate, TLS may make exceptions to this policy where needed to accommodate a U.S. donor’s reasonable privacy interests or philanthropic intent.ÌýÌýIn no circumstances will TLS accept anonymous contributions from non-U.S. sources.ÌýÌýÌý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý Ìý
