Wellness programs through the 51画鋼's Recreational Sports & Fitness are designed to educate and inform students, faculty, and staff about the healthy resources available to them on-campus as well as off-campus. 51画鋼 RecFit implements wellness initiatives, programs, and presentations on topics ranging from outdoor group fitness classes to a presentation on how to eat healthy on campus.
Our current wellness initiatives include Wellness On-Demand options as well as Partnered Activities/Programs!

Wellness On Demand
Let RecFit bring wellness to you! Our Wellness Ambassadors are available to host a wide variety of workshops for your class, club, or organization. Wellness workshops are free for all 51画鋼 affiliated organizations.
Programming Options
Tabling at your Event: We are happy to come inform your group on our resources at your events by bringing our table full of information! We will staff this table as well to answer any questions by those attending.
Find Your Fit with 51画鋼 RecFit: We want you to feel at home with RecFit! This presentation will inform you about our facilities, and the recreation and fitness opportunities we offer.
Exercise Anywhere: No gym? No problem! Learn how to effectively plan a workout anywhere, with little to no equipment.
S.M.A.R.T. Fitness Goals: The basics of setting smart fitness goals. This presentation teaches the recommended physical activity guidelines, 5 components of fitness, the benefits of exercise, and the basics of goal setting.
Stress Management: Strategies to practice mindfulness and tools to cope with stress in all areas of life.
Nutrition 101: Learn the basics of nutrition, how to eat a balanced meal on campus, and how to use MyPlate to guide your nutritional choices.
Dimensions of Wellness: Learn about the dimensions that make up the wellness wheel, plus evaluate your own wellness and learn about our on-campus wellness resources.
Fitness Center Orientation: Equipment orientation includes a tour of Jacobs and/or Cassell Fitness Center and a hands-on introduction to all the fitness equipment.
Private Group Exercise Class: Host your own private version of one of our fitness classes. Classes can be held in our aerobics studio or brought to you on campus. Available class formats include: Zumba, Pilates, Yoga, Cycling, Strength, Bootcamp, and more! $50 for each class.
