CLS Constitution
The Washington College of Law Communications and Media Law Society
I.油 Title
The name of the organization shall be The Washington College of Law Communications and Media Law Society, also referred to as CMLS.
II. Duration
The period of duration for this organization is perpetual.
III. Membership
One:油 Membership in the CMLS shall be open to all Washington College of Law students and faculty.
Two: The organization shall not discriminate on the basis of ancestry, color, race, cultural or ethnic background, economic status, ideological, philosophical, or political beliefs or affiliations, marital or parental status, national or regional origin, physical disability, religion, or religious or denominational affiliation, gender or sexual orientation.
IV. Mission
The purpose of this organization shall be to:
One: To provide a forum for members to network with attorneys and Washington College of Law alums who work in the communications, media, and other related fields of law.
Two: Create a link between CMLS members and the Federal Communications Bar Association (also known as the FCBA).
Three: Create opportunities for members to learn more about issues in the field of communications and media law through speaker series, panel discussions, and FCBA events.
V.油 Internal Affairs
One: The organization shall act in accordance with the provisions provided in its Constitution and by-laws, and under the guidance of the Washington College of Law Student Bar Association.
Two: The WCL Communications and Media Law Society shall be headed by an executive board consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, and faculty advisor(s).油 The establishment of the executive board shall be in accordance with the CMLS Constitution.
