Bio
Dr. Jennifer Durham holds a PhD from George Mason University. Her research focuses upon arts integration, multi-sensory teaching methodologies, and assessment practices for children with specific learning disabilities. She is the co-author of Creative Materials and Activities for the Early Childhood Curriculum (2015), has several journal publications, and is currently the elementary curriculum and technology coordinator at the Lab School of Washington. Dr. Durham’s experience as K-12 special education teacher and her focus on the assessment and programming of children with learning disabilities forms the basis for her teaching practices. In her current role at 51²è¹Ý, Dr. Durham teaches Psychoeducational Assessment, runs the Lab School internship and partnership program, and is currently the interim program director for the Masters of Arts in Teaching: Special Education program.
