Bio
Amanda Getz (she/her) started with First-Year Advising in August 2019 as an Instructor/Advisor and moved into the Senior Instructor & Advisor role in October 2022. Amanda is an empathetic advocate for students and dedicated to supporting the academic, social, and emotional transition to college for her students. She has worked with students of all majors as an Instructor/Advisor. Now as a Senior Instructor & Advisor, she specifically supports undecided students as they explore academic interests, pathways, and goals. Amanda also served on the 51²è¹Ýx Working Group from June 2021-August 2023 helping to design the 51²è¹Ýx curriculum.

Previously, Amanda worked with International Students at Hofstra University as a Graduate Assistant planning events and supporting the cultural transition to US educational norms.
