Bio
Yamai is a SIS BA graduate who focused on International Development and Public Health with a regional focus on Sub Saharan Africa. During her time at 51²è¹Ý, she explored the use of traditional medicines in Dakar, Senegal, researched pediatric obesity prevalence at a federally qualified health center (FQHC) in Detroit with the University of Michigan, and completed the 51²è¹Ý Abroad program in Nairobi, Kenya. Upon graduation, Yamai spent some time studying French and Senegalese politics as a Boren scholar before working in government contracting for two years. She is excited to return to SIS to support the EDH programs and work with students, faculty, and staff.
