- Sarah is a board-certified Physician Assistant who joined the Student Health Center after relocating to Washington DC in December 2018. In 2014, Sarah graduated from the Physician Assistant program at Jefferson College of Health Sciences in Roanoke VA, her hometown. Following graduation, she worked in a small rural health clinic in Alleghany County VA, practicing family medicine and urgent care. In spring of 2022, Sarah was awarded the ACHA Affiliate New Professional Award for her contributions to the field of student health during her first few years at 51²è¹Ý. When not working, Sarah enjoys chasing after her son Leo and watching true crime documentaries. As a type 1 diabetic herself, Sarah especially enjoys connecting with diabetic students!
