51²è¹Ý

Explore DC (EDC) is a two-day program for incoming first-year and transfer students. Explore DC is part of 51²è¹Ý's Welcome Week programming and is sponsored by the Center for Community Engagement & Service. Students participating in EDC will have a common experience of one day of service and one day of active learning through visiting various sites in the city. EDC enables new students to adjust to their new home in the District and learn how to navigate using public transportation. EDC provides a meaningful experience in which students are exposed to a wide variety of issues facing community members through cultural and historical means and are encouraged to become active citizens of DC.
