All students who are borrowing a Federal Direct Stafford loan for the first time at 51²è¹Ý must complete online entrance counseling session before the loan can be disbursed.

The U.S. Department of Education requires all first-time borrowers and/or new students to 51²è¹Ý to complete an Entrance Counseling Session. This session explains students’ rights and responsibilities as federal student loan borrowers.  Students may complete the Entrance Counseling Session online at http://www.studentloans.gov.   Within 3 days, 51²è¹Ý will be notified electronically upon completion of this requirement.

Note: federal student loan funds cannot disburse until the loan counseling session requirement has been successfully completed.
