Dr. Lorenzo studies relationships between parenting and early childhood social-emotional and behavioral functioning. The goal of her research is to aid in the early identification of children at risk for developing psychopathology, with the ultimate goal of informing targeted early intervention efforts for families in underserved and low-resourced communities. She is particularly interested in adapting behavioral parenting interventions for parents of infant and toddlers from ethnic and racial minority backgrounds. Dr. Lorenzo will NOT be accepting a PhD student through the Clinical Psychology program this 2024-25 cycle for a Fall 2025 admission.
